Food Assistance Program Temporary food assistance for eligible low-income families and individuals is available from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Eligibility depends on the financial status of all members of the household. All persons who live together and buy and prepare food together are considered to be part of the same household group. In general, we will analyse your expenses, assets and revenues to determine what benefits you may be eligible for. Application procedure-you need to complete and submit an application to determine if you can get help through MDHHS with help such as food, Medicaid, childcare, temporary money, an emergency, etc. When submitting an application, you may need to provide information about all members in the household. The best way to determine the right and apply this online is through MI Bridges.
Applications can be delivered manually, mailed or faxed to our local office.
Payment:
Customers receive a Michigan Bridge Card to purchase certain food products and access cash benefits at various retailers and ATMs throughout the state.
EBT is the US government\s electronic based system in the US for payment of monies to those approved for food and cash benefit payments.
Check EBT Card Balance
States have their methods to log in and check your ETB balance online. We provide that information on our state pages.
Apply for EBT Card
Most states allow online applications for EBT Cards through the application for Food Stamps (SNAP Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) or cash benefits through Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF). We provided this local office contact for those who want to apply for their EBT in person at this office.
