Temporary food assistance for low-income families and individuals eligible for the Food Assistance Program is provided by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Eligibility is based on the financial situation of all members in a household.
All persons who live together and buy and prepare food together are considered to be part of the same household group.
Generally, they will review your expenses, assets, and income to determine what benefits you may qualify for. Application Process you must complete and submit an application to determine if you can receive assistance through MDHHS for food, Medicaid, child care, temporary cash, emergencies, etc.
It may be necessary to provide information about all members of the household when submitting the application.
The best way to determine eligibility and submit an application is to use MI Bridges online. Applications can be delivered in person, sent by post or fax to their local office.

Most states allow online applications for EBT Cards through the application for Food Stamps (SNAP Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) or cash benefits through Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).
